Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Selenge aimag's libraries have transferred 65 per cent of its books into E-catalogue in order to ensure that their service is prompt and proper.
The previous year, the aimag's public libraries bought books costing MNT 29.1 million, and restored 11 thousand books. Among these, libraries of Bayangol, Bugant, Zuunburen, Tsagaannuur and Huder soums renovated reading halls.

As of late 2009, 12,174 families owned free-of-charge 3,296.94 hectares areas for family use in Selenge province. In 2004-2009 after approving the law on land ownership, 124 people granted their lands to others as gift, 30 assigned their lands to others. In addition, 300 pawned their lands with private houses in commercial banks. In order to put lands into economic circulation, 40 citizens sold their lands as well.
Pursuant to requests from farmers, 15 people and enterprisers have been granted with permissions to possess lands of 45.74 hectares.
