STATE HEAD WORKS IN ZEREG SOUM
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ President Ts.Elbegdorj worked last Sunday in Zereg soum, Khovd aimag, in accordance with his tours to western aimags.
Firstly, the State Head visited a secondary school of the soum, which will celebrate its 70th anniversary the next year. This school was selected in 2009 as the best one of Khovd aimag. Moreover, it started a construction of a 150-pupil dormitory, and gave its retrospective performance in the aimag's center.
Director of the school B.Undrakh said the school has not undergone a repair since its establishment in 1956, and requested the President to pay an attention to tackling investment issue for the repair.
Then the President got au fait with the soum's 15-bed hospital. It has one physician and 23 doctors, including doctors of baga (smallest administrative unit in localities) and of family. The physician B.Nyamtsetseg said a number of illnesses and medical calls increased in the previous year, and added that they face difficulties in rendering medical aid to people due to bad roads.
All officials of Zereg soum's hospital put forward two requests--to change the hospital's status as intersoum's and to render a support in placing money in the state budget for buying medical facilities.
According to the aimag's governor, they are short of medical doctors. Thus, the administration of Khovd has made a decision to sponsor the two-year tuition fees of medical students who intend to work in the localities.
After the hospital, Elbegdorj held meeting with Zereg soum's people. They spoke about the problem in pasture capacity. The State Head discussed issues with these people on new policy on animal husbandry, establishing justice, enhancing the responsibilities, tuition fees of students, and matters on bank credits and adapting to changing climate.
The President left for Bulgan soum.
