EARTHQUAKE ROCKS INDONESIA'S UJUNG KULON
Jakarta, March 4 (ANTARA) - An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter Scale rocked Banten Province`s Ujung Kulon area Thursday at 02:34 am local time.
The epicenter was located at 7.39 degrees southern latitude and 104.57 degrees eastern longitude with the depth of 30 kilometers.
According to the Meteorology and Geophysics office here, the earthquake, which epicenter was located at 121 kilometers away from southwestern Ujung Kulon, did not trigger tsunami.
Ujung Kulon is nationally and internationally known as Indonesia`s rhinoceros conservation area.
