C SULAWESI`S EXPORTS FALL 11 PCT
Palu, C Sulawesi, Indonesia, March 7 (ANTARA) - Central Sulawesi's exports in 2009 fell 11.02 percent to US$285.05 million from US$324.85 million the year before.
Cacao remained the province's biggest foreign exchange earner, contributing US$228.31 million to its total exports, head of the Central Sulawesi provincial statistics office Razali Ritonga said on Sunday.
"Central Sulawesi's cacao exports average 90 percent of its total exports every month," he said.
He said Malaysia was the biggest market for the province's exports last year, buying US$153.68 million worth of commodities.
China came in second with US$32.54 million, he said.
The other markets for Central Sulawesi's exports last year were Japan, the United States, South Africa, France and Britain.***
