2NDLD KASAB 3LAST

"As a public prosecutor, it is my prerogative to
demand that the Federal Investigating Agency of Pakistan
should use this evidence to bring not just seven accused
facing trial in that country but all the perpetrators,
including Hafeez Sayeed, to book", Nikam said.

Section 189 of Pakistan's Cr.Pc empowers Pakistan
authorities to use this evidence against the perpetrators if
they so desire, the prosecutor told the court.
He said that the 26/11 attack was not only an act of
ten indoctrinated terrorists but also a well-orchestrated and
meticulously-planned.
The prosecutor said Kasab must remember that a villian
can never become a hero.... He knows how to play to the
gallery and believes that in doing so media would give him
publicity.
"Kasab has deliberately changed his stand in the past
because he is playing with the court and shamelessly making
statements that he had made a false admission of guilt", Nikam
said.
On the two arrested Indian nationals, Faheem Ansari
and Sabauddin Ahmed, he said their role was to prepare and
supply maps of terror sites to LeT. Both are equally
responsible for death of 166 persons like Kasab and others
are, he said.
In another development, the court rejected the plea of
Sabauddin's lawyer Ejaz Naqvi seeking to stay the trial on the
ground that only three cases can be clubbed together. In this
case, 12 cases were clubbed together in the trial, he argued.
Special Judge M L Tahiliyani, however, rejected the
application stating that it was frivolous.
