AMBASSADOR TO RUSSIA VISITS ICSTI



Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Russian Federation D.Idevkhten visited Wednesday the International Center for Scientific and Technical Information in Moscow (ICSTI) and got au fait with its activities. The ICSTI Director-General V.Ye.Kodola and an official of the ICSTI M.Yu.Tumanova introduced to the Ambassador the center's chronological courses and activity directions.
According to them, the ICSTI was founded in 1969 with eight member states of the former Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (CMEA). As of today, it works under responsibilities and rights of inter-governmental international organization, and has 22 members. Mongolia is one of these founders.
Innovation, information and diplomacy are the main directions of the ICSTI. "Our center is aiming to develop the mutual, multi-lateral and common cooperation," said Kodola. Mentioning Mongolia has its representatives working in the center for long years, Kodola underlined that the ICSTI has a willingness to increase the participation of Mongolia.
The Ambassador pointed out that Mongolia used to cooperate with the ICSTI in a scope of assistance and aid only, and that Mongolia now has entered into a partnership with the center for a development. He appreciated the center's proposal to cooperate with Mongolia's state organizations and NGOs.
