GOVT TO CALL TENDER FOR GAS PIPELINES CONSTRUCTION
Jakarta, March 12 (ANTARA) - The government will soon call a tender for the construction of gas pipelines according to the master plan of national gas transmission and distribution networks in the 2010-2025 period, an official said.
According to the master plan, the tender would be conducted by the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas), Director General of Oil and Gas at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry Evita Legowo said here on Friday.
She said the master plan was contained in Decree of the Energy and Mineral Resources Minister No.0225K/11/MEM/2010 signed on January 27, 2010.
The agency would put the project to tender after receiving the green light from the energy and mineral resources minister in this case the director general of oil and gas, she said.
"We will monitor the implementation of the project to see to it that all qualifications are met," she said.
Under the ministerial decree, the planned gas transmission pipelines categorized as "open access" would cover Natuna D Alpha-Batam-Duri, Batusangkar-Cerinti-Batam, and Sumatra West Java (SSWJ)-Aurcina-Sekayu-Kotabumi-Cilegon pipelines.
The others will be Natuna-West Kalimantan, Banjarmasin-Palangkaraya-Pontianak, East Natuna-Malaysia, Donggi-Pomalaa, Sengkang-Pare-Pare-Makassar, Tambun-Cikarang, Terang Sirasun-Pegerungan pipelines.***
