CUSTOMS DESTROY 65,000 BOTTLES OF ALCOHOLIC DRINKS

Jakarta, Mar 15 (ANTARA) - The office of the Customs and Excise Directorate General of Jakarta today destroyed 65,000 bottles of alcoholic drinks without legal tax tapes.

Customs and Excise Director General Thomas Sugijata said during the destruction of the imported bottles here Monday that the state suffered a loss of Rp30 billion due to the imported alcoholic drinks.

The suspects VL and MH may have been hoarding 41,000 bottles of alcoholic beverages of different brands without tax tapes, and MH had also allegedly been hoarding 19,000 bottles of alcoholic drinks of different brands.
