.United Russia reports over 100 violations at regional elections.
MOSCOW, March 15 (Itar-Tass) -- The United Russia Party has already
submitted 67 protocols about violations at the Sunday regional elections
to corresponding agencies. The number of violations will exceed 100 cases,
Chairman of the United Russia Supreme Council Boris Gryzlov told a press
briefing at the United Russia headquarters here on Sunday.
"We have gathered many materials, and all of them will be passed to
the corresponding agencies," he said. This way "we will show the decent
work at the elections," Gryzlov noted.
He recalled that United Russia opponents stated about numerous
violations at the October 2009 elections, and just an insignificant part
of them was verified by documents. "If the opposition wishes to compete in
the reporting of violations, we exposed more violations than all the
opposition did," Gryzlov affirmed.
The chairman of the United Russia Supreme Council believes that
currently there are no reasons for any demarches similar to those taken
after the October elections.
.United Russia ready to form coalition with Just Russia in Tula.
MOSCOW, March 15 (Itar-Tass) -- The United Russia Party may fulfill a
coalition agreement with the Just Russia Party in Tula, where the election
in the city legislature was held on Sunday, secretary of the United Russia
General Council Presidium Vyacheslav Volodin told Itar-Tass.
"We have already agreed to cooperate," he said. Volodin elaborated
that the Russian ruling party did not get the qualified majority in the
Tula legislature.
The two parties have a framework agreement on coalition. This
compromising document resulted from the conflict stirred up between Just
Russia and United Russia over the public criticism, which Just Russia
leader and Federation Council Speaker Sergei Mironov leveled at United
Russia and the party's leader - Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
Specifically, the coalition agreement envisages joint proposals for
new appointments.

.Incumbent Omsk mayor wins landslide victory at mayoral election.
OMSK, March 15 (Itar-Tass) -- Incumbent Omsk Mayor Viktor Shreider,
who is a United Russia member, won at the mayoral elections in the second
largest Siberian city on Sunday. He gained more than 66% of votes
outstripping three times his closest rival, a self-nominee, Igor Zuga,
chairman of the Omsk city election committee Alexei Nesterenko told
Itar-Tass on Monday.
About 350,000 voters or 39% of Omsk residents entitled to vote
participated in the mayoral elections, Nesterenko said. The turnout is two
percent higher than at the similar elections in 2005. Despite a difficult
election campaign the ballot day in Omsk passed calmly and without law
violations.
The Sunday elections in Omsk are among the first elections, at which
the technologies of the global navigation satellite system GLONASS were
used. The satellite system "was controlling constantly the delivery of the
election documentation from district election committees in territorial
election committees and further in the city election committee." Under the
control from the space it is impossible to contest any actions of election
committees in a period between the vote count and the time, when the
protocols are submitted, Nesterenko said.
