Pal said Mayawati's acceptance of the garland worth crores
of rupees Monday was a violation of the model code of
conduct as the source of the money is not known.
"The country's money is the national currency. The way
these Rs 1,000 notes were made into a garland, is a crime," he
said.
Pal said the incident proves that corruption has been
given sanction in public life.
When the House reassembled at 1 PM, the SP and Congress
members from the state wanted to speak on Mayawati rally.
Soon a fresh bout of uproar broke out and the House was
adjourned till 2 PM by Deputy Speaker Karia Munda. PTI
