ABOUT DISCUSSION ON MANAGEMENT OF CLINICAL WASTE
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ A discussion themed "Dangerous and clinical waste management" has been running among officials and experts from Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Ministry of Health and other professional organizations. Co-organized by Mongolian Millennium Challenge Account (MMCA) and the Service of Environmental and Social Impact, the action started Wednesday in the UB-based "Kempisky Khaan Palace" hotel.
Among the participants are the Minister and vice MInister of Environment and Tourism L.Gansukh and Ch.Jargalsaikhan; the Vice-Minister of Health J.Tsolmon; also S.Bayarbaatar, Executive Director of the MMCA; Armando Bufflet, an advisor to the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) on environmental and social impact; Sh.Purevsuren, the MCAM's environmental and social impact officer; D.Odonchimeg, a director of the MMCA in charge of capital rights project; A.Monkhtaivan, a director of the health project of the MMCA; and J.Sukhbaatar, a director of the MMCA's project on vocational training and education.
The gathered were given reports and information about roles and participation of these and other related organizations such as General Agency for Specialized Inspection (GASI) and the Office of the City's Administration, in eliminating and burying dangerous waste. Reports on governmental measures and their results were given as well.
Hazardous waste management directives were introduced that must be adhered to in frames of projects of the MMCA; besides, the attendees shared views on roles and participation of other organizations, directors of the projects delivered reports at sub-meetings of working groups on "Hazardous waste" and "Management of clinical waste".
