Just Russia party admitted to Socialist International

MOSCOW, July 1 (Itar-Tass) - The Just Russia party on Monday was
officially admitted to the Socialist International, party's press
secretary Dmitry Gudkov told Itar-Tass.

The application of Just Russia for joining this authoritative
international organisation bringing together socialist and social
democratic parties of over 100 countries was considered at the Socialist
International's congress in Athens on Monday. "Some 70 applications were
considered, and only four of them, including Just Russia's, have been
satisfied," said Gudkov. However, according to him, so far the party
headed by Sergei Mironov (speaker of the Federation Council upper house of
parliament) will have the observer status in the Socialist International.
