OBAMA VISIT'S LOGISTICS ARRIVE IN JAKARTA
Jakarta, March 18 (ANTARA) - All logistics for US President Barack Obama`s visit to Indonesia next week have already arrived in Jakarta.
The head of operations of Halim Perdanakusuma airbase, Col Agus Radar, said to ANTARA when asked to confirm about it that the logistics were transported using a military cargo aircraft.
"This is the first aircraft and it will also fly to Bali because Obama will also visit Bali as part of his trip to Indonesia," he said.
Agus Radar said all preparations had been made including security around the airbase ahead, during and after President Obama`s visit.
President Obama is scheduled to start his trip to Guam, Indonesia and Australia on March 21. He will be in Indonesia for three days from March 22 to 24.
In Indonesia he will meet with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and sign a comprehensive partnership cooperation agreement with Indonesia.
The agreement covers action plans in the political, security, economic, social and community fields.
The associate chairman of Muhammadiyah, Haedar Nashier, meanwhile said the organization would not give an excessive welcome to Obama`s visit.
"In essence Muhammadiyah does not reject Obama`s visit but neither will it give an excessive welcome," he said at a discussion here on Thursday evening.
Haedar called on all parties to respect the visit as it was an official one. "At least we must respect a guest. We had better not see it from visit`s aspect but from what will be discussed later," he said.
