PKS SYMPATHIZERS STAGE RALLY TO DEFEND PALESTINIANS' RIGHTS

Bandung, W Java, March 21 (ANTARA) - Thousands of Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) sympathizers staged a rally here on Sunday in a show of support to free Al-Aqsa Mosque from Israeli occupation and defend Palestinians' rights.

They gathered at the West Java People's Struggle Monument on Jl Dipati Ukur from where they later marched to Bandung City Square via Jl Teuku Umar and Jl Dago or Jl Juanda.

In their rally, they were opposed to Israeli aggression against the Palestinians. They also raised funds from PKS sympathizers and passers-by to help the Palestinians.

The rally prompted the Bandung city policy to tighten security in a number of places.

Among the tightly-guarded roads were Jl. Ir. H. Juanda, Jl Merdeka and Jl Asia Afrika.
