FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC INVESTMENT IN C KALIMANTAN RP27.9 TRILLION
Muara Teweh, Mar 22 (ANTARA)- Foreign and domestic investment in Central Kalimantan last year reached Rp27.9 trillion, accounting for 46 percent of the planned Rp59.6 trillion.
"The regional administration has been trying to boost investment in C Kalimantan by providing licensing and investment security facilities," Head of the C Kalimantan Investment Coordinating Agency Theopilus Y Anggen said at a regional investment coordinating meeting in Muara Teweh, Barito Utara regency Monday.
He said the biggest contribution to the investment came from domestic investment worth Rp17.1 trillion plus 104.3 million dollars, or Rp959.6 billion.
The domestic investment totaling Rp18 trillion, he said, came from 188 companies, accounting for 51 percent of the planned Rp35 trillion.
The foreign investment came from 178 companies contributing Rp5.9 trillion plus 425.6 million dollars (Rp3.9 trillion), totalling Rp9.8 trillion or 40.1 percent of the planned Rp24.6 trillion.
"We hope the investment would increase in the next few years," he said.
