AL-QAEDA IN YEMEN NOW AT 'RADFAN-DHALE MOUNTAINS'

DHALE, March 24 (Saba) - Al-Qaeda elements who have escaped from
security pursue in Abyan province are now sheltering at
Radfan-and-Dhale mountains, almotamar.net reported on Wednesday
citing local sources in Dhale province.

The sources were quoted as saying that these elements escaped from
several provinces after air strikes intensified against them killing
and wounding scores of them.

In recent months, Yemen intensified the war against terrorism,
launching several raids in the north and south killing, wounding and
arresting dozens of Al-Qaeda suspects, some of whom had planned to
attack vital domestic and foreign interests in the country.

More recently, two al-Qaeda leaders were killed in a terror raid on
their hideout in Abyan province, with authorities saying the
preemptive operation took place while the two were preparing to
attack vital economic and military facilities.
