SLUMS IN MUKALLA TO BE SUPPORTED

MUKALLA, March 24 (Saba)- Deputy governor of Hadramout province for technical affairs Fahd al-Menhali held talks on Wednesday with the WB's delegation for developing slums, currently visiting Yemen, the possibility of supporting the slums in Mukalla city.
The talks dealt with aspects of re-planning the city and removing the random buildings which would be started soon after the project's studies are completed.

During the talks, al-Menhali affirmed the importance of preparing studies and schemes for each sector of the infrastructure to treat the ransom construction.

He made reference to the random construction which caused a burden on the state in the process of providing services and infrastructure such as electricity, water and sanitation, mentioning the internal migration as one of the reasons for the spread of ransom construction in the city.
