The Pizza Company enters Laos’s market
VIENTIANE,MACH 24 (KPL) - Lao and Thai business people opened this week a franchise outlet of the Pizza Company and Swensen’s with their joint-venture investment of over 6 billion kip (US$ 500,000).
The outlet becomes the first branch of the well-known international fast food chain in the Lao PDR.
“The company has decided to purchase franchise from the Minor Food Group Public Co. Ltd to operate a fast food business in Laos,” said Operations Manager of the Lao Express Food Group (Laos), Ms Phetsavanh Homvannasy. “Lao business people hold 40 per cent of the share in the joint venture and the rest belongs to Thai partners,” said Ms Phetsavanh.
The fast food outlet is located next to the National Culture Hall on Samsenthai Road. It is open daily from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
The manager said that she had confidence that her fast food service would be attractive to many Lao people, especially the middle and high-income ones.
