50% OF DISPLACED PEOPLE RETURN TO THEIR HOMES IN SAADA

SAADA, March 29 (Saba) - Head of the Executive Unit for running the refugee camps in the far north Ahmed al-Kohlani said that about 50 % of the displaced people in Saada governorate have returned to their homes , 26 Sep.net reported on Monday.


Others refused to come back amid fears humanitarian aid may not reach them or those whose homes were destroyed by the war or fear the Houthi group may target them again, he said.

Meanwhile, all aid agencies are operating within the unit, with some inspecting the conditions of refugees, he said, adding that landmine elimination teams are also continuing their job paving the way for full return of refugees.
