NATIONAL FORUM "HEALTHY CITY" TO BE HELD
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ The Ulaanbaatar Governor Office, the Ministry of Health and the Association of Cities and Towns in Mongolia will organize a national forum "Healthy City" with a support from the World Health Organization on April 1-2, 2010.
Participants of the meeting will debate and exchange views on pressing issues facing residents of Ulaanbaatar and provincial central towns. It is also expected to discuss ways of paving the path to become a "Health City" and to approve a program on development of the cities.
Health Ministry officials said the gathering will draw more attention to issues such as food security of population, urban development, soil, water and air pollution. Moreover, the highlighted will be also a reducing of internal migration to cities by a way of developing and promoting all kinds of services and infrastructure in provincial towns.
