NUMBER OF FRENCH TOURISTS TO INCREASE

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/. Mongolian tourism businesses will attend an annual MAP World Tourism Fair in Paris, France commencing next year.
The number of tourists from France is expected to increase thanks to a participation of this international tourism fair, officials consider. About 7,000 guests from France travelled Mongolia in 2008 and 6,000 tourists in 2009. The Ministry of Environment and Tourism has opened a unit to distribute information on Mongolian tourism at the Embassy of Mongolia to France with the aim of activating the marketing advertisement targeted to French tourists.
