YEMEN, IDA HOLD TALKS



SANA'A, March 31 (Saba) - Deputy Prime Minister for Economic
Affairs, Minister for Planning and International Cooperation, Abdul
Karim al-Arhabi met on Wednesday with a delegation from the
International Development Agency (IDA) led by the senior social
scientist Sabine Beddies.

The meeting, attended by Minister of Social and Labor Affairs Amat
al-Razaq Humad, dealt with several topics including establishing
mechanisms for expanding cooperation between the Yemeni Civil
Society Organizations and the agency, designing a system for
preemptive replies to complaints filed by the CSOs and the private
sector in an attempt to strengthen their partnership with the
government.

It also discussed arrangements for holding a workshop on
ways to promote cooperation between the agency and the CSOs and the
private sector in late April.

At the meeting, al-Arhabi appreciated
the IDA support for the Yemeni government's efforts to boost the
partnership with the CSOs and the private sector, affirming Yemen's
keenness to forge ties wit the agency.
