U.S. congresswoman Sheila Jackson visits Yemen Childhood, Youth Media = Center

SANA'A, March 31 (Saba) - U.S. congresswoman Sheila Jackson paid =
on Wednesday a visit to the childhood
and youth media center, toured its divisions and was briefed on its =
activities in various governorates. Minister of Youth and Sports Hamoud =
Ubad accompanied and introduced
her to the role of the government in supporting the center within the =
national strategy for childhood and youth. Jackson also familiarized =
with training divisions and programs
as well as the role of the center in training the Yemeni youth in =
various media production arts with which they can address their issues. =
She stressed that the activities
focus on raising awareness among the youth about basic factors for peace =
among countries and dismissing extremism, affirming that childhood, =
youth and women programs are
among essential factors for peace. FR
