Yemen, IDA hold talks

SANA'A, March 31 (Saba) - Deputy Prime Minister for Economic
Affairs, Minister for Planning and International Cooperation, Abdul Karim al-Arhabi
met
on Wednesday with a delegation from the International Development Agency (IDA) led
by the senior social scientist Sabine Beddies. The meeting, attended by Minister of
Social
and Labor Affairs Amat al-Razaq Humad, dealt with several topics including
establishing mechanisms for expanding cooperation between the Yemeni Civil Society
Organizations
and the agency, designing a system for preemptive replies to complaints filed by the
CSOs and the private sector in an attempt to strengthen their partnership with the
government.
It also discussed arrangements for holding a workshop on ways to promote cooperation
between the agency and the CSOs and the private sector in late April. At the
meeting,
al-Arhabi appreciated the IDA support for the Yemeni government's efforts to boost
the partnership with the CSOs and the private sector, affirming Yemen's keenness to
forge
ties wit the agency. FR
