GOVERNMENT DECIDED TO GRANT MNT 1.5 MILLION TO EVERY CITIZEN

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ At its irregular meeting on Friday, the government made a decision to grant MNT 1.5 million to every citizen of Mongolia.
The grant will be distributed in two phases of 2011 and 2012 in forms of covering payments of pension and health insurance premiums; giving a certificate for receiving education and health services and buying apartments; and of cash.
One million togrog will be allocated to each citizen in forms of covering their payments for pension and health insurance premiums; payment for receiving education and health services and buying apartments, and 500, 000 togrog will be issued in cash.
Covering payments of pension and health insurance premium shall be applied to herdsmen, private businessmen and the unemployed who have not been involved in pension insurance scheme. According to the law on health insurance, all population must be involved in health insurance. However, there have been a number of people who have no health insurance. Therefore, it will cover four-year payments of pension and health insurance premiums for those people by opening the rights to receive medical and social care services.
In a term of health service, a certificate representing concrete amount of money will be given to every person allowing them to undergo a one-time complex special medical test, examination and treatment and involving them in vaccinations for preventing infectious diseases.
For education service, a certificate will be granted to people and students for covering their tuition fees of higher educational institutions, and to students studying in 1-12 grades of secondary schools for receiving stationeries, books and uniforms. The unemployed may study in vocational training centers thanks to this certificate.
In case of buying apartments, a certificate can be used for paying in advance, loan and loan interests.
