Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ "Tegsh duuren" program will be implemented in Selenge aimag co-organized by the Health Ministry and Italy's "AIFO" NGO for rehabilitating the disabled.
In the first turn, a three-day training has started for implementers of the project in Darkhan-Uul, Tov and Selenge aimags organized by the National Rehabilitation Center (NRC) and the Public Development Service of the "Tegsh duuren" program. Lessons about the program's purposes, ways of establishing relations with the disabled, tackling education, health and labor matters are being given to the trainees.
Over 30 per cent of 76 thousand disabled in Mongolia have received benefits from the program which is implemented in all aimags and the city's nine districts. In a scope of the program, another training will be held in Selenge for medical doctors and social workers, and a new comprehensive center fully equipped with up-to-date facilities for social health will be erected. An Orthotics and Prosthetics workshop will be established giving job places for eight people. Uncovered loans will be granted to the disabled as well.

Construction has begun to build a unique stupa called "Jaran khashir" at the Amarbayasgalant buddhist monastery in Baruunburen soum. Such a stupa is in Nepal only. Governor of the aimag has decided to allot 10, 020,200 togrog from the administration's fund.

Citizens' Representative Khural of the province has issued a resolution to establish a national wrestling club named "Tavan khan" at initiatives of the aimag's Federation of National Wrestling and the UB-based Local Council of Selenge.
This club is supposed to develop national wrestling, prepare and train good wrestlers from Selenge.
