Gravity-fed water supply development in Beng district
(KPL) Since March 18, people in Xienglai village, Beng district, Oudomsay
province, have had an access to clean water after the completion of a
2,700-m facility of the gravity-fed water system.
The construction cost totals 104 million kip, of which 62 million kip was
from the contributions of local people and the rest was granted by a German
NGO.
There are now a total of 10 gravity-fed water systems, 29 bore wells, and
394 wells in the district of Beng.
These water sources meet the daily need of the district's population.
