VP STRESSES IMPORTANCE OF DOUBLING EFFORTS IN OIL, GAS FIELDS

SANA'A, April 04 (Saba) – Vice-President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi stressed on Sunday the importance of doubling efforts in the productivity fields, particularly oil and gas fields.

Hadi noted that the economic development tracks are positively affected when they are supplied with the financial allocations in accordance with the prepared development plans and programs in order to meet the aspirations of those programs.

In this regard, Hadi urged, during his visit to the Ministry of Oil and Minerals, to continue the full coordination between the ministry and the companies operating in the different oil and gas fields to raise productivity and work more frequently so as to compensate for declining production of some old fields.

During his visit, the vice president was briefed on the ministry's activities and plans in this respect.

He expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing activities in this area and the new foretokens to increase production in commercial quantities during the second half of this year.

In the meeting, the Minister of Oil and Minerals Amir al-Aydarus confirmed that there are significant developments in the production of gas and a new oil production would start soon, and thus would enhance the development process and open new economic areas.
