CASHMERE PRICE GOES UP IN DORNOD

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ Price of one kilogram raw of goat cashmere reached last week MNT 56,000 in Dornod aimag, the eastern province of Mongolia, the local MONTSAME special correspondent reports.
Some businessmen explain this increase as connected with a lack of supply of raw cashmere due to harsh winter that killed millions of livestock, a majority of which were goats.
Last year, raw cashmere was traded for MNT 30,000 per kilogram.
