SIX MILLION LIVESTOCK PERISH NATIONWIDE
Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ As of April 6, 2010, six million 69 thousand 699 heads of livestock perished nationwide due to zud disaster, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry reports.
According to the ministry, 533,648 of the total lost livestock were big animals /cattle, horse and camel/ and 5.536,051 were small ones such as goat and sheep.
