ATTEMPT TO KIDNAP A SOLDIER IN LAHJ THWARTED



SANA'A, April 07 (Saba) – An attempt to kidnap a soldier of the Central Security Forces by an armed group of outlaw elements was thwarted by a security patrol in Radfan district, Lahj province,, the Interior Ministry reported on Wednesday.

The security services explained that the security patrol clashed with the armed elements and forced the kidnappers to free the abducted soldier, who had been kidnapped from the street under arms threat.

A number of the patrol soldiers were wounded during the fire exchanging with kidnappers and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Procedures are continuing to arrest the perpetrators of this crime.

In related context, the security services said that a security checkpoint soldiers in Dalei province clashed with an armed car carrying a dangerous person, wanted by the security services and accused of committing killings, bombings and other acts harming the unity.

The security services pointed out that the armed persons, including the accused, fled leaving the car in the street with 15 kilos of black gunpowder and a piece of weapon.
