I'M PROUD OF FORMER PM ABDULLAH, SAYS RAIS

KUALA LUMPUR, April 8 (Bernama) -- Information Communication and Culture
Minister Dr Rais Yatim said Wednesday he was proud of the achievement of
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi who once worked under him at the then Culture, Youth
and Sports Ministry.

Rais said he and the former prime minister had gone through a lot of things
in their three decades of friendship which dated back in the 70s.

"From an officer at the Culture, Youth and Sports Ministry, he went on to
become the Deputy Prime Minister and Prime Minister, and it was my turn to work
under him," he said when launching a coffee table book titled "Pak Lah",
published by Bernama, here Wednesday.

"The wheel of time is constantly turning; we come and go as time changes,
and during his time, he was the prime mover who determined where we were in the
struggle," he said.

Abdullah, who as present at the event, was Malaysia's prime minister between
2003 and 2009.
