UK Foreign Secretary praises Yemen for fight on terror

SOUTH SHIELDS, April 10
(Saba) - Britain's Foreign Secretary David Miliband has praised the efforts Yemen is
making
in the fight against terrorism, expressing his confidence in the country's ability
to overcome all obstacles facing it.
During a visit to the Yemeni community in South Shields city, Miliband also said he
was glad that the community enjoys a good reputation inside his country. 'Allow me
today
to express my admiration for your community here where Yemenis worked with the
British people aboard ships during the world war,' he told Yemenis.
You have become part and parcel of the British society, he said, adding that
Yemen-Britain ties are good and that Yemen is very cooperative on the war against
terror.
Miliband also reiterated the British support for Yemen's unity, stability and
development, adding that he looks forwards to visiting Yemen.
