Death of Polish top officials is our common tragedy - Margelov.
MOSCOW, April 12 (Itar-Tass) -- Chairman of the Federation Council
Committee for International Affairs Mikhail Margelov believes that "the
death of representatives of the Polish political elite headed by the
president is our common tragedy." He offered condolences "to all Poles and
my colleagues in the Sejm from the Federation Council committee and from
me personally."
"I do not share metaphysical contemplations about Katyn as some
"sacrificial or fatal place" for Russian-Polish relations," Margelov told
reporters. But the news about "who and where in particularly died in the
air crash caused shock," the senator noted. Alongside, he expressed
confidence that "the investigation into the tragedy will not give the
slightest grounds to look for some political underpinning."
"Unfortunately, no one is immune from tragic accidents," Margelov added.
.Second jet with relatives of Polish air crash victims to fly to RF.
WARSAW, April 12 (Itar-Tass) -- The second airplane with relatives of
the victims in the Saturday crash of the Polish presidential airliner
Tu-154M will fly to Moscow from Warsaw on Monday morning. The first
airplane with the relatives flied to Moscow on Sunday evening.
Polish Health Minister Eva Kopacz and a high-ranking official of the
Polish prime minister's chancellery Tomasz Arabski will give all the aid
to the arriving Poles in Moscow. The relatives of the air crash victims
will stay in Moscow for 3-4 days.
The third day of national mourning is held in Poland on Monday. The
national flags are flying at half-mast, entertainment events are cancelled.
It will be announced on Monday when President Lech Kaczynski lying in
state will be accessible for a national farewell ceremony. According to
preliminary reports, a farewell ceremony will begin on Monday afternoon.
.Hooligans damage high-speed train Sapsan.
MOSCOW, April 12 (Itar-Tass) -- Unidentified hooligans damaged a
high-speed train Sapsan and disrupted the Moscow-St. Petersburg train
traffic.
The incident occurred at 21.32 Moscow time on Sunday at the railway
station Leontyevo in the Tver Region, a source in the Russian Railways
Company (RZD) told Itar-Tass. "An alien object planted on the contact wire
broke down the wire on the second major track," the source said.
Meanwhile, the power collector and the windscreen of the high-speed train
Sapsan en route from the Russian capital to St. Petersburg were damaged.
"The power supply was cut at the railway section over the incident,"
the RZD source said.
The train traffic in the direction of Moscow was restored, but the
traffic in the direction of St. Petersburg is hampered so far. The trains
en route from Moscow to Tallinn and Petrozavodsk are delayed.

A patient remains in extremely severe condition, three people are in
grave condition and three more are in moderate-to-severe condition. Other
patients are feeling satisfactorily.
Two blasts went off at the Moscow metro stations Park Kultury and
Lubyanka on March 29. The terrorist acts killed 40 people and injured more
than 90 people.
.Relatives of Polish air crash victims arriving in Moscow.
MOSCOW, April 12 (Itar-Tass) -- Relatives of the victims in the crash
of the Polish presidential airliner Tu-154 are arriving in Moscow.
A charter airliner from Warsaw landed at the Domodedovo airport. A
group of relatives arrived in this flight. The headquarters of the
Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM), psychologists and doctors are
working at the airport. Many relatives will have to pass the
identification procedure of their near and dear just in a few hours.
People are welcome at the airports, give medical and psychological
consultations.
From the airport special buses are bringing the relatives to the
hotels.
The Moscow government will pay all the expenses for accommodation and
catering, as well as funeral services. Most relatives will be accommodated
at the Renaissance Hotel.
EMERCOM psychologists are on duty at the hotels and will help the
relatives during the identification procedure. Some 40 EMERCOM
psychologists divided in eight groups will work with the relatives, an
EMERCOM source said earlier. The psychologists, who arrived from Poland,
will also help Polish citizens.
The second airplane with the relatives of the air crash victims will
fly to Moscow on Monday morning.
