PRESIDENT: PROTESTERS MUST NOT HARM OWN LIVES

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ President Ts.Elbegdorj gathered Monday D.Demberel, Parliament Speaker; D.Lundeejantsan, a chairman of the faction of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP); L.Gantomor, a deputy chairman of the faction of the Democratic Party; and O.Enkhtuvshin, a head of the Standing committee on state structure, to give them some directions in some issues.
The State Head said he wants MPs to consider as necessary to meet with the protesters who are still on sit-down and hunger strike on Sukhbaatar Square.
"...Demands from the protesters should be considered in frames of the laws and measures which are being taken for the events. On the other hand, the protesters should abstain from a type of protest that may harm their lives, health and freedom," said Elbegdorj.
"Every person whose country has a democratic system has a right to voice his/her opinions and deliver words. There are many ways to tackle problems, but negotiations must go in democratic and open ways," he added.
