CHILD TRAFFICKING ATTEMPT THWARTED ON YEMEN BORDER

HAJJAH, April 14 (Saba) – The security authorities in border Haradh district, Hajah, have thwarted an attempt to smuggle 14 children into Saudi territory, the state-run 26sep.net has reported.

A smuggler was arrested and turned over to interrogators. Another suspect was also arrested while trying to traffic a 14-year-old child into the kingdom.

The arrests came though trafficking through the Yemeni-Saudi borderline has decreased in the recent few years.

The authorities also arrested three Africans, one Ethiopian, while trying to infiltrate into the kingdom.

Early this month, a suspect was seized while smuggling Yemeni workers for pays from them.
