NAJIB, BEGINNING OF A LEGACY, WILL BE LAUNCHED SOON

PUTRAJAYA, April 14 (Bernama) -- A book entitled "Najib, beginning of a
legacy," to commemorate Najib Razak's one year as the Malaysian prime
minister, will be launched soon.

The book contains over 300 selected photographs of Najib from the Malaysian
National News Agency (Bernama) and Utusan Group, a media group, as well as
numerous media headlines throughout the year.

It features topics like "The 6th Prime Minister of Malaysia", "From the
Father to the Son", "Time of Transition", "People First", "Strengthening
International Networks", "Najibnomics", "Embracing the Future", "Milestone" and
"Here & There".

The nine-chapter book will be published by MPH Group Publishing and
distributed by MPH Distributors.

MPH Group chief executive officer Ng Tieh Chuan, in the preface and
acknowledgment page, said many colleagues, former colleagues, friends of both
Najib and his late father, had expressed their interest to contribute to this
book.

"We have endeavoured to accommodate every request; however, if we were to
have agreed to each and every request, we would have ended up with something
more akin to an epic or encyclopedia.

"Therefore, this is a book of varying emphasis and reports compiled by the
myriad strata of Malaysians," he said.

Ng said certain chapters had been reserved specifically for Najib's own
opinions and key policy decisions.

Other chapters represented the opinions and commentaries of those fortunate
enough to have served with him or with his father, the late Abdul Razak
Hussein, ordinary citizens who welcomed the much-needed changes and ideas
offered by Najib, he said.

Throughout, the reader will be reminded of Najib's administrative policies,
lineage, the role played by the community, and the influence his late father had
on the young Najib, Ng said.
