ISTANA BUDAYA TO STAGE TUN MAHATHIR MUSICAL THEATRE
KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 (Bernama)-- Istana Budaya (Palace of Culture) will stage a musical theatre on the life of fourth prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad from Sept 24-Oct 4.
Director-general Mohamed Juhari Shaarani said the theatre is in recognition
of Dr Mahathir's services in developing the country.
"The theatre is unique as it will be the first biography on a living
person," he told reporters at Istana Budaya here Thursday.
Juhari said the musical theatre "Tun Mahathir" will tell the story of
Mahathir as a child, prime minister and until the present day.
It is written by Ismail Kassan with Suhaimi Mohd Zain or Pak Ngah as
music director while Rosminah Mohd Tahir will direct.
