Yemeni-Japanese anti-terrorism, piracy talks
TOKYO, April 16 (Saba) - Yemen and
Japan reviewed on Friday aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries and
ways to
boost them, particularly in the battle against terrorism and piracy.
The discussions were held during a meeting of Yemen's ambassador to Japan Marwan
Noman with the adviser of Japanese Prime Minister Yoshikatsu Nakayama.
The Yemeni diplomat and the Japanese official discussed the fields of cooperation
between their countries in the areas of coordinating efforts in the fight against
terrorism
and piracy.
They also reviewed ways to attract Japanese companies to invest in Yemen,
especially electric power generation, wind power and oil and gas explorations.
Yemeni ambassador to Japan Noman praised the support provided by the government of
Japan to Yemen in various fields.
