MALAYSIAN PM LEAVES U.S FOR JAPAN




NEW YORK, April 17 (Bernama) -- Najib Tun Razak wrapped up a
week-long working visit to the United States on Friday and left New York for
Japan.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in Tokyo on Sunday for a four-day
official visit, his first since taking office.

He is scheduled to have an audience with Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko
and also have a bilateral meeting with Japan's Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama.

Najib will be accompanied by Rosmah Mansor, and Acting Foreign
Minister Dr Rais Yatim who is also the Information Communication and
Culture Minister.
