RUSSIA INTERESTED IN DEVELOPING ECONOMIC RELATIONS WITH YEMEN



SANA'A, April 17 (Saba)- Russian First Deputy Minister of Foreign
Affairs Andrey Denisov, currently visiting Yemen, pointed on
Saturday to the special interest of his country to develop economic
and trade relations with Yemen.

This came during a meeting gathered the Foreign Minister Abu Bakr
al-Qirbi and the Russian official, during which they discussed the
areas of cooperation between the two countries.

They also dealt with the developments in the Palestinian issue and
in the Iranian nuclear file as well as the situation in Somalia.

The Russian official affirmed the depth of historical ties between
the two friendly countries and the keenness of the Russian
leadership to boost them and his country's support to Yemen's unity,
security and stability.

Al-Qirbi valued the Russian supportive positions to security and
stability of Yemen, expressing Yemen's aspiration to develop the
economic and trade relations with Russia and to facilitate
investment opportunities for the Russian companies.

He confirmed the important role being played by Russia in
strengthening security and stability in the region.
