Yemen, EU discuss health cooperation
SANA'A, April 17 (Saba)- Minister of Public
Health and Population Abdul Kareem Rasa held talks on Saturday with the head of the
European
Union mission in Sana'a Michele Cervone D'urso over health cooperation between
Yemen and the union.
They also discussed efforts for implementation of reproductive health program in
Lahj, Hodeidah and Taiz provinces supported by the EU at sum of $ 10.5 million.
The meeting affirmed importance of doubling efforts in carrying out the projects in
the targeted provinces.
On the other hand, the minister received representatives of countries and
organizations that support health sector in Yemen.
They discussed final version for the demographic health survey that the ministry of
health started to execute it recently for one year and half funded by donors at sum
of
$ 2 million.
