Vietnam comes third at int'l Judo tournament
HCM City (VNA) - The Vietnamese team gave in to strong rivals from the Republic of Korea and Japan to rank third at the 17th International Ho Chi Minh City Judo Tournament, which was held in Ho Chi Minh City from July 5-6.
Le Xuan Hoang carried off the only gold medal for Vietnam in the men's under 55kg category. His teammates won three silver and 11 bronze medals.
The first place of the tournament went to the team from the Republic of Korea with nine gold, two silver and on bronze medals. The Japanese team ranked second with four gold, four silver and three bronze medals.
The tournament was participated by 162 Judokas, including 63 females from 11 Asian countries and territories.-Enditem
