SAADA RECONSTRUCTION FUND APPROVES YR 16 BLN PLAN FOR 2010
SANA'A, April 18 (Saba) - The board of directors of Saada Reconstruction Fund approved on Sunday the fund's plan for 2010.
The reconstruction plan included areas of rebuilding the public and private constructions affected due to the insurgency war in districts of Saada province and Harf Sofian district in Amran province at a total cost of more than YR 16.7 billion.
The plan aims to rebuild 6205 facilities, especially during this year at a total cost of YR 12.3 billion, divided into the reconstruction of 5138 houses, including completion of 1084 houses from 2009, at an estimated cost of YR 10.1 billion and over YR 2.9 billion for private farmers.
The number of public facilities supposed to be reconstruction within the plan amounts to 192 facilities at an estimated cost of YR 4.4 billion ,distributed to 123 educational projects, 23 health units, 31 police stations, 9 courts, 3 government complexes, 3 agricultural guidance centers, 200 mosques, and 9 temporary governmental headquarters as well as work completion in 13 facilities.
The board also approved the fund's mechanism for the reconstruction of the war-affected houses in the old city of Saada, and directed the fund to implement the mechanism.
Moreover, the board directed the executive administration of the fund to complete counting damage in Harf Sofian district and to coordinate with the local authority to define the alternative location for reconstructing the district and to submit the results of counting to the next meeting of the fund.
Also the board emphasized the final review of the damage counting in Bani Hushaish district, Sana'a province, by the executive administration and to submit it to the next meeting.
On another hand, the board reviewed the administration's report on the fund's activity during the past period in counting the damage due to the rebellion war in Saada province and Harf Sofian and the reconstruction of the public and private facilities.
The Fund's board endorsed the report of the fund's auditor on the list of sources and uses of funds to the reconstruction fund of Saada as of December 31, 2008 in addition to the significant accounting policies and explanatory notes.
According to the auditor's, the total sources till the date above amounted to more than YR 1.28 billion, while the total uses amounted to YR 142.6 million.
The board stressed the appointment of an auditor to review the final accounts of the fund for the fiscal year ended on December 31, 2009, in accordance with the approved standards approved and to upload the results to the board for discussion and approval of the necessary.
