SIRIM to set up quality center in Mukalla

MUKALLA, July 07 (Saba)- The Standards and Industrial Research
Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) agreed on Sunday to set up a center
for quality in Mukalla city and supplying it with required equipment
and expert for training Yemeni cadres.

Under a memorandum of understanding signed between the Hardamout
commercial and industrial chamber and SIRIM, Malaysian would set up
the center and experts in field of agriculture and fishing to Yemen
to study needs of developing Yemeni products in these fields.

The memo was signed by SIRIM board chairman Yahya bin Ahmed and
chairman of Hardamout chamber.Governor of Hardamout Salam
al-Khanbashi affirmed importance of memo to improving Yemeni
national products and encouraging experts.

Then, the SIRIM delegation paid a visit to the fishing corporation
in the governorate, voicing readiness of the institute to offer
experiences to improve products of the corporation.
