BRITISH MAN'S MONGOLIA ADVENTURE FOR CHARITY

Ulaanbaatar, /MONTSAME/ A British Scunthorpe man will lead a team of four adventures across 17 countries to Mongolia with just an ambulance and their wits.
Tommy Buxton, 29, of Dunlop Way, Scunthorpe, will leave from London with his four-strong team on July 24, for a four week expedition in which his team will cross 17 countries.
His "Team Ulaanbulance" squad are hoping to raise Ј10,000 for Scunthorpe autism charity Magic Moments, and Mongolian charity CYPDD (Children and Young People's Protection and Development) through their voyage.
Tommy said:"We will have to be constantly thinking on our feet, no sat navs, no tools, if things go wrong, we are going to have to rely on the locals and our own bartering skills.
"We have no idea what to expect, issues like border control could become problematic but it all adds to the adventure. For me it is no fun until you are stuck in the middle of the desert fixing your vehicle with a stick and some chewing gum.
"It's obviously for a very worthy cause, but we' are going to have a laugh on the way as well, it is certainly going to be, shall we say, interesting. If we were worried we would stay home."
Upon arriving in Mongolia's capital Ulaanbaatar, Tommy and his four-strong team will leave their ambulance in the hands of the Mongolian health service for use in the region.
