EU diplomat admires Yemen's current development

SANA'A, April 19 (Saba) - The European Union ambassador Michele Cervone D'urso expressed here on Monday his admiration of the
current developments in Yemen, particularly in promoting dialog among the political parties.

D'urso called on during his meeting with the Parliament Speaker Yahya al-Rae'i the
political powers to cooperate more and spare no efforts for realizing the Yemen's
supreme
interests.
The Parliament has a fundamental role to progress development in Yemen, the EU
diplomat said, noting to the EU readiness to provide more support in this regard.
Al-Rae'i talked about the significant role the Parliament plays to enroot the
political practice and to develop the democratic approach, appreciating the EU
positive attitudes
towards Yemen in different fields.
He also affirmed the importance of enhancing such supportive positions in order to
achieve an active partnership and to serve the two sides' mutual interests.
