Vietnamese investor to plant acacia on 925 ha in Savannakhet
(KPL) The government has approved the investment by Fooding Co
Danang-Savannakhet on planting cassava and acacia in the largest province, Savannakhet.
The agreement on the investment project was signed last Thursday here by Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Mr. Thongmy Phomvisay and President of Fooding Co Danang-Savannakhet Mr. Tran Van Thanh.
The contractor has been allowed to plant cassava and acacia on 925 ha in Sepon district, Savannakhet, with an investment of 6 million US dollars.
After signing the agreement the contractor will conduct an economic and technical analysis and the assessment on social and environment impacts as well as sign a land concession agreement with the National Land Management Authority of Laos.
The foreign-direct-investment project by Vietnamese business will run 30 years.
