CABINET APPROVES REPORT ON RESULTS OF 7TH MEETING OF WOMEN COUNCIL

SANA'A, April 20 (Saba) - The Cabinet approved on Tuesday a report on the result of the seventh meeting of the Supreme Council for Women, that was held on March 6.

The Cabinet stressed the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation to include areas of the national strategy for women in the fourth five-year plan for development.

The cabinet emphasized the integration of the gender component in the investment program and to allocate the necessary resources to implement programs and strategic projects for women.

Moreover, the cabinet stressed Deputies Prime Ministers and governors with regard to the involvement of managers of women departments in the ministries and the National Commission for Women within the committees to prepare plans and budgets, as well as the integration of training manual on gender budgets in the training program of the Financial Institute.

The Cabinet instructed the concerned ministers to raise the allocation of jobs of women in proportion to the women graduates from higher education institutions, in addition to other procedures enhancing the presence of women in leadership positions.
