UN senior official in Sana`a soon

SANA'A, April 21 (Saba) - Assistant
Secretary-General of the United Nations Amat al-Alim Alsoswa is to arrive in Sana'a
on Friday 23 April,
for a ten-day official visit.
Alsoswa, who is also the Assistant Administrator of United Nations Development
Programme (UNDP) and Director of its Regional Bureau for Arab States, will meet
during the
visit with senior official in the government at the central and local levels.
The UN's media official Yazan al-Saghiri said that Alsoswa will also meet with the
representatives of the None-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and other related
parties
to discuss several aspects of UNDP's support, including launching vital development
programmes.
The UN official would also participate in lunching many development and services
projects funded by UNDP in Yemen, al-Saghiri said.
Its is worth mentioning that Alsoswa will be accompanied by Senior Programme
Advisor - Yemen Desk Officer, at the UNDP Regional Bureau for Arab States Amin
Al-Sharkawi.
